Our RTIC Softpak 30 Review
Have you ever made it through the morning only to find that your lunch didn’t stay cold? Maybe the ice in your cooler melted. Or perhaps the cooler just didn’t work correctly.
Unfortunately, the wide variety of coolers can make it challenging to find the best one. And in our RTIC Softpak 30 review, we want to find out if the cooler stands out from the pack.
But shopping for a cooler is no easy feat. You have to consider what size you need as well as your budget and any other features you want. So, should you consider the RTIC Softpak 30?
Features and benefits
The RTIC Softpak 30 is a fantastic cooler, and it’s suitable for many different activities. It has up to 2 inches of foam insulation to keep your food and drinks cold.
This cooler can hold up to 30 cans of your drink of choice, but it’s still lightweight. The cooler is also pretty durable. It has a leakproof zipper, and the outside of the cooler won’t sweat.
The cooler has handles as well as an adjustable shoulder strap, so you can carry it in a way that’s comfortable for you.
Also, the cooler is available in a variety of colors and patterns. You can choose your favorite color, which is helpful if you’ll need to distinguish your cooler from another.
What others think
For our RTIC Softpak 30 review, we wanted to know how others felt about the cooler. Of course, the features give us a great first impression. However, customer and professional reviews provided us with more insight.
However, a second customer said the seams started coming apart after just a few months. Another customer said the ice in their cooler melted very quickly, and the cooler isn’t worth the price.
It seems like some customers love the cooler, while others hate it. So you may have to give it a try yourself before forming your own RTIC Softpak 30 review.
We did also find a professional review. The review noted that the cooler has impressive insulation. This cooler has some tough zippers, but apparently, they have to be tough since they’re waterproof.

The YETI Hopper Flip 18 is the perfect first comparison product in our RTIC Softpak 30 review. YETI is a hugely popular brand when it comes to coolers, and their reputation extends to the Hopper Flip 18.
This cooler can hold up to 16 cans plus ice. It has a 100 percent leakproof zipper and a wide-mouth opening, so you can easily access your food or drinks.
Closed-cell foam insulation keeps your food and drinks cold, but it’s still portable and lightweight. The cooler’s shell is waterproof and resistant to mildew, so you don’t have to worry about keeping it dry.
However, a second customer said the YETI isn’t much different than some coolers except for the huge price jump.
PROS
- Leakproof zipper
- Easy to access what’s inside
- Portable and lightweight
CONS
- Not as big as other coolers
- Not much better than cheaper alternatives

The AO Coolers 24-Pack Canvas Cooler is another alternative to the RTIC Softpak 30. This cooler is, of course, canvas, and so the outside is soft.
It has high-density insulation, which is twice as much as other soft-sided coolers. Supposedly, it can keep ice frozen for up to 24 hours even when it’s as hot as 120 degrees.
The liner is leakproof, and as the name suggests, the cooler can hold up to 24 cans. You can also remove the shoulder strap. And you can even choose from a variety of colors.
However, a second customer said their ice melted after a few hours in the cooler.
PROS
- More affordable than similar coolers
- Comes in different colors
- Has good insulation
CONS
- Only holds up to 24 cans
- A little bulky
LUNCIA 30-Can Cooler
AO Coolers Original Soft Cooler with High-Density Insulation,…
- Soft-sided cooler with high-density insulation, a removable shoulder strap, and side pocket
- Twice the insulation of other soft-sided coolers; guaranteed to hold ice for 24 hours in 120-degree weather
- Perfect for boating, fishing, hunting, parties, sporting events, and picnics; keeps things cold or warm
Finally, we have the LUNCIA 30-Can Cooler. This one actually only holds 23 cans, so the name is kind of confusing.
However, the cooler is water-resistant and leakproof. The zippers are airtight to keep the cold air in the cooler, and of course, they also prevent water leaks. Unlike other zippers, this one is supposed to be easy to use, despite being airtight.
This cooler also has high-density compact foam as the insulation. The cooler even has special hooks and cords so that you can attach it to your bike.
PROS
- Leakproof and water-resistant
- Easy to use the zippers
- Insulation is great
CONS
- Name is misleading
- Too many cords and hooks could be overwhelming

In this RTIC Softpak 30 review, we wanted to find out if the Softpak 30 was indeed one of the best. And we think it’s definitely a great choice.
